Sencha was created in 1835 and is now one of the most common and popular tea in Japan. It accounts for approximately 80% of all green tea in Japan. After harvesting, the tea leaves are steamed immediately to stop oxidation, creating a fresh, spring like taste profile. The leaves are then rolled and dried to ultimately form sencha. 

This limited version of Sakura Sencha involves high grade sencha blended together with wild Sakura (cherry blossom) leaves for a unique tasting, visual and aromatic experience. Due to the nature of the products, this tea is a limited edition product. With its floral freshness and umami mixed with a floral aroma, drinking this tea will have you transported to Japan, sipping tea under the cherry blossoms!
